Carol Diane Williams

Hampton resident, Carol Williams learned to sew at the early age of   seven.  Her mother always believed that if you learned to sew that   sewing could serve a back up if you lost your other means of      support.  Carol’s real interest in the craft developed after moving to Charleston, SC when she became a seamstress, sewing all of her own clothes.

Her first quilt evolved from a quilt block that she completed in her first quilting class.  She added embroidery and paper pieced blocks to her original block, and by the time she finished the quilt was king size.  Her first quilt still resides in her mother’s home in South Carolina.

Carol describes working with crafts as one of the most relaxing things she can do and receives great satisfaction from it. Her reward is in seeing the completion of the project she starts.  To use her words, “GOD has truly blessed my hands.”
