Delilah Armstrong       

Delilah was born and raised in Newport News, VA.  At eight years of age, Delilah was taught to sew by her mom.  However, she didn’t develop an interest in quilting until 1997 after attending a 54-40 African-American Quilters Guild.  She was inspired by the awesome colors, talent, skills, and styles in the show.   Upon an invitation from JoAnne Cramatie to attend her first guild retreat in 1997, Delilah became a member at the next guild meeting.  Due to serious medical issues and early retirement, quilting is also one of her support mechanisms.  Delilah’s daughter and granddaughter have also started quilting.
