Norma Hundley
         

                                                                           My name is Norma Hundley.  I became a member of 54-40 Quilting Guild in
                                             2006.  I started out wanting to make a heart quilt using velvet fabric on my own
                                             before taking a class, however, that has not taken place yet.  I couldn’t figure
                                             out how to cut it.       I decided to take quilting classes with my friend Maxine. 
                                             I was inspired to make a musical quilt.  When I heard a young man singing one
day, I asked him why you don’t sing in church; He said he never sing alone _ _  Then I realized my daughter
sings also _; So, I design a quilt using various musical notes.  I designed my own piano quilt.   I was amazed
by my work.  I didn’t think I could do it.  Taking various quilting classes has really helped me with my quality
of designing.  The sky is the limit.  There are a lot of things I would like to design on my own in the future. 
Working with my Quilting Guild 54-40 at the present has also taught me many techniques and designs to
broaden my knowledge in quilting.
